Victoria Park Tree Walks
For an awesome autumn day out, head to London's oldest public park and take on the tree trails. Choose from the Children's Tree Walk, World Trees or Heritage Trees trails and see if you and your brood can spot all the colourful trees listed.
With more than 4,500 trees, Victoria Park is a colourful maze well into November and is the perfect spot for leaf picking in London. The tree trails are a great way to get kids interested in nature. Parents can download the tree trail maps from the website.
Once you've rustled around the crisp fallen leaves, tire little legs out at the playground near Grove Road. On the east side of the park by the Hub building is another play area with bigger slides and climbing equipment. Add to that a skate park, sports pitches and two cafes and it's easy to spend the whole afternoon here.
