William Morris Gallery
The William Morris Gallery is the only public gallery devoted to the life and legacy of William Morris: designer, craftsman, socialist.
The William Morris Gallery has workshops, displays and a world class collection, which gives children and students the opportunity to explore Morris’s design processes and the ideas that informed them. Rich curriculum links can be made across the Key Stages with Art & Design, Design & Technology, History, Literacy, Maths and Citizenship.
The displays are designed to be fun for families, with hands-on, interactive exhibits that will help you and your family explore the artefacts on display. There is also an exciting programme of activities and events designed just for families
The William Morris Gallery is housed in a Georgian house, built in the 1740s and set in Lloyd Park in Walthamstow, in north-east London. The grade II* listed building was Morris's family home from 1848 to 1856. The only public Gallery devoted to William Morris, it reopened in August 2012 following a major redevelopment.
