Battersea Park

There's just so much to do in the vast 200 acres of Battersea Park! Visit the animals in the Children's Zoo, or, if the weather's fine why not head out onto the boating lake?

Or if you want to get active, the park is home to some fantastic all-weather sporting facilities, including tennis courts, football pitches, and a running track. Why not bring a scooter or a bike along? Kidadler Linsday says there is a "wide and flat area for people to cycle etc on. It goes around the edge of the park. There is a children's playpark near the path so can cycle and play easily."

The bandstand is the perfect spot for a picnic, and you can go wildlife spotting in the nature areas, with several species of woodland birds, and over 20 species of butterflies. Bring your binoculars along and see what you can spot!
