V&A Museum of Childhood
Show Reviews (3)
What was it like to be a child in the past? Dive into a world of nostalgia and history at the V&A's Childhood Museum. From cuddly (and not so cuddly) toys and games to furniture and dolls houses dating back up to 300 years the changing exhibits bring the past to life.
Alongside the unusual toys and games of the past, you can find a whole host of artefacts from childhood frocks to playtime and home objects. Less interactive than some other museums but admission is free and Kidadlers says it's a good option if you have a spare hour or two.
For a trip down memory lane like no other with puppets to praxinoscopes, head down to the Museum of Childhood and leave feeling inspired for future fun (or grateful for now).

We all really enjoyed our trip there. I wasn't expecting to be so nice. I would go back again. Nice place and nice toys for kids to play with.

Parking is a bit of a nightmare - we had to go round block a few times to find a space on the road. A lot of it they might find dull as more history of toys which adults/older kids would love- but worth a visit.
