Jet over to the Royal Air Force Museum for a fun day out that’s sure to pass with flying colours! Check out loads of life-sized aircrafts - from fighter planes to war planes - try a flight simulator and set little imaginations soaring.

A Kidadl community favourite, kids can play pilot with the flight simulator, or plunge into the skies with 3D animated films and water sprays for a truly immersive experience!

Kidadler Lauren says: "The new hanger on the opposite side to where the main building is where all the interactive stuff is. If you walk from there down the path diagonally away from the old building is the playground (it’s signposted though). Next to the playground is the cafe."

Kidadler Henri says: "We've been there a million times but only recently discovered the free activity backpacks - you leave your driving license or credit card as a deposit and take a back pack that's stuffed full of fun stuff like a torch, binoculars, compass, puzzle, plane-related story book, clipboard, paper, pen and loads more! My kids both loved it."

It’s good for a free rainy day out as they can run without being in danger but to be honest it’s not an amazing day out. Wander around for a couple of hours and you’ll prob be done. There’s little planes for them to sit in though so nice.
