Richmond Park

Famous for its wild deer and royal history, bring along your nature-mad little ones to wander, race and roam around the endless parklands. Kidadler Corinna highly recommends a visit: "Richmond park is lovely. Nice walk and look at the deer!"

Explore the park to find King Henry's mound, which boasts a beautiful view and a telescope for little eyes to spy. Head to the play area where the kids can climb, run and play or hire bikes and take one of the family bike trails around the park. Look for the endangered stag beetle and keep your eyes peeled mice and vole. This is a real break from urban life and one of the most popular parks in South London for a family day out.

The massive wooded areas make it the best place for hide and seek, tree climbing and tag. Or they can let their imaginations run riot in the green open spaces!
