Take a walk on the wild side with Sally’s Adventure Club

Go on a woodland adventure with Sally's Adventure Club.

Take a walk on the wild side with Sally’s Adventure Club

Hunt for minibeasts and enjoy songs and storytime in this magical woodland adventure in Highgate Wood.

Take in the great outdoors with Sally Bailey’s brilliant sessions through the woods. Children are given a magnifying glass and a map and go on the hunt for minibeasts, fungi and other cool specimens! Each session is different – they might go on a bear hunt, or make stuff out of leaves, and then finish up with singing, puppets and story time, all led by Sally herself.

Make sure to look out for her fab seasonal specials – from Stick Man to the Gruffalo and more, children will absolutely love this themed outdoor adventure. Don’t forget your wellies!

KIDADL IN THE KNOW
When to go:
Sally’s Gruffalo Adventure Specials are on 4 and 5 January at 10:30am but other events run throughout the year.
What age is this event suitable for?
It’s ideal for under 5s.
How much are the tickets?
£8 per child and £6 per sibling (adults go free).
Getting there:
The nearest Tube station is Highgate. Meet Sally in the middle of the woods next to the Pavilion Cafe, on the grass by the picnic benches. Onslow Gate is the best gate to enter from and leads directly to the cafe.
Is there parking?
No, there’s no designated parking but a couple of the surrounding roads have no restrictions and are free to park on.
Is there buggy and wheelchair access?
It depends on your specific needs. Get in touch with Sally via her website to find out more about the activities planned for the specific session and ask about accessibility.
Where to eat:
If the café in the woods doesn’t take your fancy, head to Highgate itself for a good selection of kid-friendly restaurants and cafes. Kidadler Jojo recommends family restaurant Fabrizio, 34 Highgate Hill for “amazing pizza”.
Terms and conditions:
Please show Sally your booking confirmation either via print out or on your phone, upon arrival. All children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session. The sessions will continue come rain or shine, so have your macs and wellies at the ready! Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
