The Laboratory Collective is based in Chicago. Its aim is to bring the imaginary world to life by literally using science at immersive, themed science camps, birthday parties and classes. The Laboratory Collective use books, movies and stories to get kids excited and engaged with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). It has been providing programs at its Bucktown location, working with schools, and developing workshops through Chicago Public Libraries Foundation since 2015.
The co-founders of the The Laboratory Collective are Amy Schwartzbach-Kang, a teacher and education consultant, and Dr Edward Kang, PhD, NBCT, who has a doctorate in Molecular Neuroscience from Northwestern University. Together they intend reinvent traditional science education to engage all students.
