Steven Vinacour is a director, screenwriter and author and father-of-two who's lending his creative talents to children in a fun, unique way.
Through a series of Facebook live streams, he is enlisting the help of his young viewers to write a story together. They'll be providing him with writing prompts to use, character ideas and plot lines that he needs to weave together into a collaborative story. Every contributor gets a mention in the final book, meaning they'll be a real author!
If you've been looking for creative writing exercises for kids, this interactive activity is perfect for getting kids excited about writing, and having a book in their hands that they've helped write is also a great way to encourage them to read.
With a history in TV and film, Steven is no stranger to the screen, and he's joining Kidadl in a live Q&A on Tuesday 12th May at 4.30pm. He'll be explaining the story behind this project, giving tips on how to improve writing skills and get kids into creative writing, and finding new ways to make it fun. Don't miss it!
If you would like to see more Q&As, check out our Lockdown Lives. You'll find chats with child psychologist Dr Amy Stanton, musician Nick Cope, travel and lifestyle content creator Bella & Bunny and family blogger Gabi Gandolfini.
