Anyone with CBBC-obsessed kids will recognise Maddie Moate from shows including Did You Know?, in which she investigates how things work, from lifts and escalators to fire engines and the human body. Here, the BAFTA award-winning presenter hosts daily online science classes with co-presenter (and real-life partner) Greg Foot, in which they study topics such as ‘How is a dinosaur fossil made?’, ‘How to make your own astronaut food’ and ‘How clouds are made’. Aimed at kids aged 7+, these sessions are a fun way to learn about science - wherever you are in the world, Maddie and Greg will take you through live experiments (that sometimes go wrong!), hold quizzes and also do some shoutouts at the end of the session. If you're on the hunt for even more online science demonstrations, why not check out Wacky Wednesdays or the Potty Professor?
What you’ll need
- Pen and paper - If Maddie and Greg make anything during the session, they’ll list the items required for you to recreate afterwards, so be ready to take notes.
- Strong WiFi connection.
What you’ll do
- The live sessions are on at 11am every day, Monday - Friday.
- Maddie and Greg will take you through a different topic per session. This is not an interactive class, so all you need to do is sit back with your child and enjoy!
