What to expect

Are you looking for the perfect storytelling session each day? Join children's author Nicola J Rowley on Facebook Monday to Friday for a brilliant live broadcast storytelling session. Making storytime engaging and fun will not only get your mini book worms hooked on reading and spark their imaginations, it's an ideal way for families to bond, spend quality time together and share memories that will last forever. Every day Nicola will choose a different story to share with you, telling you why she loves it and giving it a really personal touch.

Enjoy a series of sessions that feature Nicola reading aloud from much-loved children’s books, including Pirates Loves Underpants, Supertato, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, The Three Little Pigs, What Ladybird Heard Next and Monkey Puzzle. Expect 10 minutes of wonderful storytelling and a whole heap of fun from this amazing children's author.  Whether your kids have a favourite book that they love to read over and over (and over) again, or you just want some ideas to keep them interested in a new book, this is the perfect way to make the most of your reading sessions together!

What you’ll need

  • A love of storytelling!
  • Have pair of child-friendly headphones handy.
  • Make sure you have a good WiFi connection for the best user experience.

What you’ll do

  • The sessions are live every Monday to Friday at 11am for preschool aged children.
  • Nicola J Rowley will be reading aloud from a beloved selection of children’s books, including The Tiger Who Came To Tea, The Three Little Pigs, What Ladybird Heard Next and Monkey Puzzle.
  • If you want some brilliant bedtime stories, check out CBeebies Bedtime Stories and read your favourites along with Michelle Obama.

Children's author Nicola J Rowley is spreading the joy during lockdown and is reading stories aloud every Monday to Friday on Facebook. Nicola has a background working as a journalist, radio newsreader, TV producer and reporter. Nicola was inspired by her son to write her first story of James and the Amazing Gift. She continues to write pre-school books, aimed primarily at under-8s. Her latest book Mug the Wumph the Dancing Wizard is coming soon this year.
