If your children love storytelling, join Imagin-ory for a brilliant Black Lives Matter series, which focuses entirely on diverse children's books. Storytelling not only inspires your children and ignites their imagination and creativity from their earliest years, but it also teaches them about important topics, including racism and diversity. Celebrate differences and children's books on diversity in this series of readings, which will cover race, racism and positive picture books with black lead characters.
Aimed at children aged 1-5, Imagin-ory will bring stories to life. This live session is being broadcast on Monday 22 May from 10am-1pm on Facebook. Story Imagin-ory has an extensive range of children's books about diversity that they will use across the session and share with your kids. There will be a mixture of picture books with black lead characters and books covering racism and you can choose which ones you'd like to watch.
Whether your little girl or boy enjoys a picture book or a true story, this session will share some of the best children's books. This is the ideal way to educate young readers on such important matters - change starts at home. A children’s book is one of the most effective and practical tools for initiating these critical conversations, so make sure you tune in for these wonderful stories!
