South Kensington Tube station (Piccadilly, Circle and District lines) is a 5-minute walk away.
Worried about where to park? Kidadler Sabine says: "You can park for free in the nearby streets as well. Go early, it opens at 10am and it won’t be too busy." On Sundays and Bank Holidays you can find parking on Kensington Road, but be sure to arrive in the morning as by the afternoon the spaces may be full.
There is a buggy park within the auditorium for use when you are watching a show and buggies are fine throughout the rest of the lab.
There is a picnic area by the Wonderlab and an ice cream parlour/cafe, and another Science Museum cafe nearby on the second floor serving sandwiches and coffee/cake. Kidadler Nikki says, "Take food! For Wonderlab you may have to queue to get in. If you leave to get food, you then have to re-queue to get back in. Was a major failing for us cos the kids got hungry and we had to leave, then to get back in was over an hour queue - was such a shame as you could spend hours in there! Take a packed lunch or buy when you're there and take in with you. There are benches you can sit on inside and have a quick bite without having to leave. Mine (aged three and four when we went) loved the Wonderlab!"
Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable. Kidadl users must show their booking confirmation at check in. Babies and young kids can be given noise-reducing headphones for the shows in the auditorium - just ask when you arrive.
