The Buckingham Palace State Rooms will be open to the public from 20 July to 29 September 2019.
The meeting point for these tours is The State Rooms Visitor Entrance (Gate C) which is on the south side of the Palace, at Buckingham Gate. If you're planning on taking public transport, the nearest stations are Victoria Underground & Railway Station (Circle, District and Victoria Lines), which are 5-10 minutes' walk passing the Royal Mews. You can also walk to Buckingham Palace from Hyde Park Corner or Green Park Underground Stations (both Piccadilly Lines) in 5 to 10 minutes. Buses that stop nearby also include routes 16, 2, 507 and C2.
Parking is extremeley limited and can get pretty pricey around Buckingham Palace, so we suggest taking public transport. However, the closest car park is the NCP London Carrington Street Car Park, which is a 10-minute walk away.
For safety reasons, pushchairs cannot be taken into the State Rooms. They must be checked in and collected at the exit from the State Rooms. The State Rooms are fully accessible via wheelchair.
If you're feeling peckish after all that walking, head to Kidadler favourite Prezzo, which has a great kids menu and is just a 10-minute walk away. Or bring a picnic and graze in St James' Park, just a stone's throw away.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Please print Kidadl booking confirmation and show on entry.
