"If you want to get revenge on your older kids for generally being a pain these holidays, take them to the Arcelor Mittal Orbit slide at Queen Elizabeth Park. The worlds longest slide, the look of horror and fear on their faces when I got them to the top was extremely enjoyable! The view is great if (like me) you also take a younger child to prevent your kids from making you do it too. The park is pretty empty today but the weather's great. Would really recommend. Book advance online to skip queues. It's not cheap but definitely something fun and exciting for older ones," says Gemma.
The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a 15-minute walk away from Stratford Station.
If you are driving, the ArcelorMittal Orbit does not have a visitor car park. Nearby there are two independently operated, chargeable car parks – Stratford multi-storey car park with 588 parking spaces (located off Great Eastern Road, E15 1BB) and Westfield Stratford City car park.
Feeling peckish after your #RideTheSlide experience? The Last Drop is open daily serving coffee, cakes and pastries, light lunches and snacks.
