The departure point for the Buckingham Palace Tour is the Duke of York Column, St. James's, London SW1Y 5AJ. It is highly accessible via public transport. The closest tube stations are all less than a 10-minute walk away and are St James's Park (District and Circle line), Charing Cross Station (Northen, Bakerloo and British Rail lines) and Westminster (Jubilee, District and Circle lines).
We strongly recommend taking public transport because parking is extremely limited in this area. The closest car park is Q-Park Trafalgar, which is a 2-minute walk away.
Unfortunately, the Buckingham Palace Tour is neither buggy nor wheelchair friendly due to the nature of the tour.
After all that walking, treat yourself to a feast. Head to Kidadler favourites Wagamama or Pizza Express, both less than 10-minute walk away and have great kids' menus.
Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Please print Kidadl booking confirmation and show on entry. Depending on the day you will see either the Changing of the Guards at Buckingham Palace or Horse Guards Parade. The Changing of the Guard is subject to changes in date, time and cancellation at the discretion of British authorities. On occasional Sundays the ceremony may be rescheduled to early morning, which means you will go on an extended walking tour instead.
