This session runs daily until 14 February. Typically on weekdays it runs from 4-5.15pm and on weekends it's open from 10.30am-5pm.
South Kensington Tube station (District, Circle and Piccadilly lines) is a 5-minute walk away. The 70, 345 and 360 buses all stop just outside. The session takes place in the Investigate Centre, in the basement of the Green Zone. You can reach this area via the stairs and lifts opposite Creepy Crawlies.
Baby-changing is available on the ground floor, lower ground floor and mezzanine level.
All the floors in the Green and Red Zones of the Darwin Centre map are accessible by lift. The balcony of the Mammals gallery is inaccesible by lift. You can leave coats and luggage in the cloakrooms by the Darwin Centre atrium and by the Exhibition Road entrance. Luggage is charged according to weight (Umbrellas cost £1 to store, coats £2, bags weighing up to 4kg are £2.50). Museum members and children aged three and under can leave items for free, including folded buggies.
There are loads of cafes and food stalls throughout the museum. Honest Burgers, Paul and Bella Italia are a 5-minute walk away and near South Kensington Tube.
