Trafalgar Square Christmas Lights

The Trafalgar Square christmas tree is iconic. Gifted to the city every year by Norway, it's a token of appreciation for British support during World War II. The tree towers over 20 feet and lights up the square - you don't want to miss it, and if you're in the area, you won't be able to!

About the event

The tree is lit up slightly later than the rest of the city on 5 December at 6:00pm. If you're not feeling festive by then, this is the best way to get into the spirit. The tree is a beautiful sight and provides the perfect backdrop to carol singers in the lead-up to the big day.
