About the event

John Keats lived in this stunning Grade I listed Georgian villa for two years, from 1818 to 1820. There he found inspiration for his masterpiece 'Ode to a Nightingale' as well as love with Fanny Brawne. The museum brings to life the poet's story through interactive exhibits and displays of original artefacts.

Your budding poets will love learning about his work and seeing all the authentic manuscripts and books. The museum also regularly hosts a variety of talks, poetry readings and events which are suitable for the whole family.

Don't miss the stunning garden, which is perfect for a picnic or just a quick run-around. You can also head over to the famous heath for some ball games or bike rides if you want to make a whole day of it.
