Understanding cursive letters is a great starting point to help students develop their writing skills.

Inspiration straight to your inbox, every week

By making use of these cursive handwriting worksheets, children can get exposure to how letters connect together, and how they are used to form sentences. In this exercise, kids will be shown how to write the letter 'R' in cursive.

A cursive 'R' differs from other letters as it is almost completely different from a regular 'R'. By learning the difference and practising their cursive writing, kids will understand the difference in no time. These worksheets encourage kids to write out letters such as cursive 'R', and repeat them without guidelines so they can make the shapes themselves. Students are also given a sentence, 'Riley is running in the rain', which will give them an understanding of the cursive letter 'R's use in the English language.
